Tangled Art + Disability's Response to COVID-19

In light of recent local and global developments with regard to the COVID-19 pandemic, Tangled regrets to announce that we will be suspending gallery hours until further notice.

We do so with the intent to help mitigate the spread of the virus during this critical window of time. Our concern extends not only to our gallery visitors, but artists, curators, as well as Tangled team members.

We recognize that many members of our disability community may require care workers, assistance with daily tasks, or cannot otherwise physically isolate. It is with those from our vulnerable sector in mind that we need to emphasize the need to avoid spreading COVID-19 unknowingly. Many folks need care and cannot avoid human contact, but some of us can, and those of us who can, should. We must come together during these chaotic and upside down times – if not to help ourselves, to help each other and move forward in a spirit of interdependence.

Scheduled public programming will not go forward as originally planned, however we will continue to monitor and adjust timelines as each situation requires. We are brainstorming ways we might shift some of the events virtually if that would be of interest to artists but we will consult with you as we move forward.

We hope everyone is supported right now in this complicated time, and that we move together with kindness and compassion.
