Season 2015 - 2016

Picking up on the momentum from last year, this is sure to be a phenomenal year for Tangled. Beginning with our outstanding theatre production, PUSH!, Tangled’s year-long program continues to cultivate Deaf and Disability Art in our own right across Ontario and bring our artists to a number of festivals and platforms throughout contemporary arts and culture scenes.

Some season highlights include: a film screening at the TIFF Lightbox in celebration of the International Day of Person’s with Disabilities on December 3; Constructed Identities, a major exhibit of new works by sculptor Persimmon Blackbridge; and our Cripping the Arts Symposium in April, our annual KidsFest in May, and point of origin, a significant multi-media show by this year’s Sharon Wolfe artist-in-residence, mel g. Campbell this summer. And stay tuned for what our artists in Tangled’s latest professional development initiative, Arts Mechanics Lab, produce. If you don’t live in Toronto, keep your eye out for Tangled on Tour, which tours disability arts across the province.

Enjoy your year and we hope to see you at our many events!
