Clayton is a theatre producer, arts administrator, trained Relaxed Performance consultant and access coordinator living on the west coast of Canada. He received his Relaxed Performance training from Include Arts (UK) through British Council Canada’s Access Activator Program, and has a growing history and connection to the disability arts community in Canada and globally. His experiences include Relaxed Performance training or hands-on consultation with dozens of arts organizations in Canada, including Theatre Calgary, Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre, Theatre Northwest,  Buddies in Bad Times, Jo Jack et John, and National Arts Centre of Canada. He has also provided access coordination, consultation, or presentations to the Festival of Live Digital Arts, Canada Scene, undercurrents, NAC English Theatre and the Professional Association of Canadian Theatres. Clayton was fortunate to attend the 2016 Unlimited Festival in the UK where he made connections globally in the world of access and professional disability arts, also spending time training and investigating accessibility and Relaxed Performance protocols at Almeida Theatre, the National Theatre and Shakespeare’s Globe. He has a continued passion for connecting arts and culture to audiences, working with artists, and dismantling barriers. He is also the Artistic Producer at Vancouver’s Electric Company Theatre, an internationally acclaimed creation-based independent theatre company.
