TANGLED ART + DISABILITY
IN THUNDER BAY: APRIL 29 to MAY 6, 2017

Tangled Thunder Bay presents visual arts, film, music and workshops from April 29 to May 6 in collaboration with local partners. Workshops are brought to you by Tangled Thunder Bay and presented by Tangled on Tour: an annual series of disability arts programming in cities across Ontario.

STENCIL ART WORKSHOP

About: Lead by artist Liz Buset, participants will learn how to redesign, cut, register and paint a multilayered/multi- coloured stencil.

About: An open drop in event to beautify Stop Gap ramps used by local business around town, lead by artist Liz Buset.

This short film program shares varied experiences of people cross-disabilities and intersecting identities through art, tradition, geography and romance. These first person narratives are part of the on-going celebration, contemplation and fight for life in an ablest world.

Classically trained violinist and songwriter Gaelynn Lea has been bewitching scores of fans with her experimental and ambient takes on fiddle music, an approach that incorporates her love of traditional tunes, songwriting, poetry and sonic exploration.
