Canada’s new art gallery dedicated to showcasing disability art and advancing accessible curatorial practices

Tangled Art Gallery (TAG), a unique new exhibition space dedicated to showcasing disability arts and advancing accessible curatorial practices opened in spring 2016, in Toronto’s iconic arts building: 401 Richmond.

DIRECTIONS: TAG is located in studio 122 on the main floor on the 401 Richmond Building. The closest accessible subway station is at Union Station. The gallery is also accessible by the Spadina streetcar (Queen Street stop going south from Spadina Station, Richmond Street stop going north from Union Station), which is intermittently accessible.

ACCESS: Exhibitions will feature audio description and attempt to always include tactile, touchable artwork. The artwork will be hung at an accessible level. All events are in a barrier-free location. There is an accessible washroom on the 4th floor of 401 Richmond. ASL interpreters and attendant care will be present at all events. Please help us in making this a scent-free environment.
